Locum

On maternity leave until Sept 2023

Jen chose to go into Veterinary Medicine as she was interested in the diverse field options available and wanted to give patients the love, care and support they all deserve. She was accepted into the Douglas College Animal Health Technology Program in 2010 and completed her 2-year program, gaining her diploma in 2012.

Jen enjoys helping struggling pets lose weight and maintain healthy lifestyles. She ran a weight loss program for many years and found it very rewarding. She also really enjoys being a locum technician as she gets to meet so many new people and learn new “tricks of the trade” in all the clinics she works in. She also just generally likes the freedom and flexibility it gives her.

On her days off Jen enjoys walks with her husband and their beagle/blue heeler cross, “Hannah” down at the beach and when at home she enjoys snuggling up in front of the fire with her little orange kitty “Maya”. She also likes to dabble in music and is teaching herself how to play guitar. She also LOVES languages and is learning to speak Italian and French and hopes to one day become fluent!
