Susanne

Veterinary Technician
The veterinary field was a natural fit for Susanne as she was fond of pets at a very early age and really enjoyed biology and chemistry in high school. She graduated from Cariboo College’s (now TRU) Animal Health Technology program in Kamloops in 1986. She started her career as a new grad in Emergency Medicine and eventually became certified as an ER/ICU tech in 2001. Since raising her two boys she worked part-time in the ER and was looking for some extra hours close to home. After being a locum for several general practice clinics over the past few years she joined the All About Cats Veterinary Clinic part-time in February 2020 where she really enjoys working with the cats and the wonderful, warm and caring team.
She brings with her years of experience from the emergency and critical care setting of the Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre where she continues to work shifts to keep up with other skills and the variety of species to be seen there.
Susanne lives with her husband and two sons, flame-point Siamese X, Luke Skytrain and Border Collie X, Calvin and two lop-eared bunnies Zach and Cody on the North Shore. She enjoys hiking the trails of the North Shore with her canine companion and she takes advantage of the variety of outdoor activities the area has to offer such as biking, skiing and swimming.
